It's definitely a buyer's market right now, as there are so many home choices available today. However, the mortgage industry has tightened restrictions on borrowers which creates challenges for a buyer to get financing. If you are planning to buy a home, you should start with a mortgage broker and get pre-qualified. If you are planning to sell a home, you should consult a Realtor for a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA)which will help you determine a fair price. Most Realtors will provide a CMA for free with no obligation.

The Dallas market is currently in the buyers market zone, though not strongly so. The median single family home price in Dallas this week is $200,000. The 5435 homes have been on the market for an average of a 103 days.

It is pretty much a buyer's market due to the influx of foreclosure homes, the lending industry changes, and other key factors. However, it can vary by neighborhood, price and condition. Some areas that are highly desirable, with few homes on the market for sale, can go very quickly and still demand top dollar!

With things changing the trade for mortgages / or loans, many families can no longer to qualify left Dallas home owners or Dallas sellers not able to sale their Dallas home. It is a Dallas Buyers market this is a slow time Dallas sellers are looking for those Dallas home buyers.
