Dallas Texas Real Estate Blog > Growth of McKinney and the North Dallas suburbsGrowth of McKinney and the North Dallas suburbsContributed by DTRE on July 8, 2007 According to an article posted on the Dow Jones Market Watch this week, McKinney has doubled its population over the last 6 years. This represents two real estate trends that have been sweeping the country. First, there has been tremendous growth in the South, and second, people are opting to live in the suburbs rather than in-town. McKinney saw its population grow 11% last year alone as more and more Dallasites decided to move up North where they can afford much nicer homes, and convenience is the name of the game. This trend is taking place in all of the North Dallas suburbs including Richardson and Addison. Comments:No comments have been submitted yet.
