About Frisco

View Frisco home listings...

One of the fastest growing suburbs in North Texas, Frisco offers a small town feel while delivering all the modern luxurious and conveniences of the big city. Home to the Frisco Rough Riders Double-A baseball team, numerous other professional sports teams, and named “best in state” by the Texas Parks and Recreation Society last year, this popular neighborhood can keep anyone entertained. Frisco is located North of Addison about 30 miles from the center of downtown Dallas.

Real estate in Frisco has exploded over the past few years as more and more people have left the city for the suburbs of North Dallas. In fact, according to various commercial realtors in Dallas, as many people moved to these northern suburbs last year as moved to Dallas itself. With this kind of growth, Frisco and the surrounding areas of McKinney and Plano are sure to keep their home values in the future.

With an average home prices well over $200,000, many people are opting to rent instead of buy. With about 30% of the population living in Frisco apartments and condos, the median gross rent is now around $830 per month.

Commute

Similar to the other north suburbs, residents of Frisco should avoid the daily commute to downtown if possible. If a Frisco to downtown Dallas commute is unavoidable, your best bet is to take the Dallas North Tollway the entire way. In contrast to the commute from Denton to Downtown Dallas, this 30 mile trip shouldn’t take more than about 45 minutes.
